Mountain Brook Vineyards - Blue Ridge Wines in Tryon
North Carolina has wineries from the Coast to the Mountains. Here's another vineyard that has 15 years of grape growing experience that shows in their award winning wines. Mountain Brook Vineyards is in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Tryon, and they produce classic vinifera varietals that you would find and taste around the world. Dennis and Miriam Lanahan started the vineyard to create well balanced wines that are varietally correct. And they achieved that in their wines.
You'll know how they got their name as you cross over the mountain brook as you go on you way up the hill to their vineyard. With just over 7 acres of vineyards, Mountain Brook Vineyards wines are 100% NC grown and vinified grapes. Their small production allows them to use the ageless traditions of hand selecting the grapes for each of their harvest and using the highest quality to produce limited wines.
The vineyard is a great place for all to visit - including children and dogs (one needs to be kept on a leash). But the kids will have games they can play with, and the adults will have wine to taste and either you can bring your own snacks or picnic, or partake of some snacks at the tasting room.
